So we finally have Hi Speed Internet with Verizon Fios. The Easter Bunny was kind to us. The girls enjoyed Easter Egg Hunting and we took some pictures as well. We Listened to Conference and really had a fabulous Easter Sunday. On Saturday we took the girls to A Easter Celebration that a church was sponsering down the street at the High School. We enjoyed the Helicopter as it hovered over the football field. It was quite a site to see 15,000 eggs dropped onto the field below. Unfortunately that was the extent of the fun for us. The church that did this thing was expecting 800 people and there ended up being over 3,000 people. They let the kids go out after the drop in two groups preschool age which was kids up to 5 and school age up through the 7th grade. Each age group got two drops. Kaylee got no eggs the first time and only four on her second try. She just couldn't compete against the older kids. I went with Ella and Miley and we also could not get any eggs the first drop. I watched in amazement as some kids walked away with their baskets full after the first drop and go out to get more for the second drop. Some of the parents were like " Let me take those eggs so you can go get more." I was astounded at the greed of people. I told Ella before the 2nd drop to run as fast as possible and get some for her and Miley. She did that and after I saw that she had picked up about 10 eggs I said she had enough and we were done. Anyways although I think it was a fun Idea we will not be doing that again next year. Our hunt at home was much more fun and relaxing. I hope you all had a great Easter!
Ella turned 5 years old on December 30th. We were actually out in Utah at the time. Since it was her year for a party we threw her a shindig on Saturday January 9th. We invited about 28 Children and had about 24 including Ella. We held it at the local neighborhood amenity center and it went great. Ella had a ball and that is what matters. After it was all over Ella said to me,"Wow! That was a lot of work." I laughed out loud and said," Work for who?" I of course had put loads of planning and time into this party and had not hardly eaten the entire day. She said, " Well it was alot of work playing with every one of my friends." She is so funny! Yes being the polite hostess can be draining. Anyways I am just glad to be done with the whole thing. I think I saw enough glitter to last me a life time:) Actually I take that back. Who am I kidding I love glitter!
We went to Kaysville Utah this year for Christmas. It was a fabulous time. The girls loved playing with their cousins and they continue to talk of them often. Miley adored her Grandparents and talks about her Papa all the time. I think Grandpa won her over completely this time. There was plenty of snow so we had fun sledding down the hill in Shane's parents back yard and little Ella even tried snow boarding for the first time and she did awesome! She made it down the hill several times without falling. Santa brought us a Wii this year. We have had fun playing it as a family. Other than that our Christmas was fairly modest as we considered our trip to Utah as a big gift to us already. Poor Shane got Violently sick on Christmas morning with what we think was food poisoning. I don't think he was much aware of the presents that morning. thankfully he got through it and overall our trip was a success. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and we wish you all the best in the new year!
We had Joel come visit us for Thanksgiving. The next day we drove up to Turner Falls in Oklahoma and did some hiking. Some OU professor built a castle there in the 30's - just to explain the castle pics.
Shane and Bleu were married on May 11th 2002 in the Salt Lake City Temple. We have been blessed with three Beautiful and Intelligent daughters. Kaylee is 7 years old. Ella is 5 years old and Miley is 2 years old. We moved to North Texas 6 years ago and currently reside in Keller, Texas
